Written by the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association & National Research Institute of Brewing.
This textbook is a great starting point for those looking to learn more about the basics of sake such as: Types of sake, how it is brewed, how to taste and serve, labeling, and much more. We love this text because of the clean layout and great organization. There are learning outcomes laid out at the beginning of each chapter and the subsections are broken down skillfully by topic. Everything is clear and it is easy to find the information you are looking for. There is also a useful resource section provided towards the end of the text (Q&A and Suggested Reading).
