I successfully completed the course and even took I successfully completed the course and even took the exam today! The quality of service FBO has provided was phenomenal, and I am so grateful for their support. I especially enjoyed the tasting session with Sake and Shochu. Oh, I cannot forget their lunch and fancy snack everyday I had there! :)
I am sad to say goodbye to them, but I have the next mission to complete! The second part of my trip has begun! Now I am 405 miles away from Tokyo and in Iwate prefecture. I will visit 10 major sake breweries in 6 prefectures over the next 2 weeks. I am super excited!! #ssiinternational #kikisakeshi #internationalkikisakeshi #sakeschoolofamerica #mastersakesommelier
My fantastic colleague, Eda is back in America. No My fantastic colleague, Eda is back in America. Now, Sake Specialist, Atsuko has taken over the report from Japan. I am currently taking 日本酒学講師 course at the FBO Academy. Since I am experiencing jet lag, I worried if I could stay awake during the course. It was a 12 hours long class yesterday, but I did not feel like I was in the class that long! The course is well designed, and there was no dull moment. With the amazing instructors, I enjoyed the class so much, and the time flew by! I am here to become a better educator and definitely learning from the best! So thankful to be in this amazing training. Cannot wait for starting day 2! #ssiinternational #kikisakeshi #internationalkikisakeshi #sakeschoolofamerica #mastersakesommelier

🪵🍶🪵 Their Sake Brewery Museum was super busy when I visited, so be sure to make reservations and plan ahead. I’ve never been able to visit a sake brewery museum before. Being able to see all these historic tools and techniques used were so fascinating. There are also English explanations next to each display section for those who cannot read Japanese. You can also make reservations to visit their Taru Sake Meister Factory 🌲🪵 I was able to see about a live 15 minute demonstration of how their craftsman actually constructs the taru barrels. Then I found out that it wasn’t even the whole process!!! It can take much longer to build a full taru from the selection of wooden planks to adding on multiple taga (braided bamboo belts) for the top, middle, and bottom of each taru. I asked so many questions that the amazing gift shop closed before I could purchase anything 🥲 from sake beauty products @kikumasa_cosme_official , foods, and sake, you can find gifts for friends and family very easily! If you’re interested in learning more, be sure to give @kikumasamune_official a visit or watch our previously recorded webinar with Kikumasamune on our youtube channel ▶️ #kikumasamune #kikumasa #hyogo #hyogosake #sakemuseum #taru #taruzake #jizake #sakehistory #菊正宗 #地酒 #sakeeducation
