One Tree Planted

Join us in making a difference for the planet! Sake School of America is proud to announce our new initiative to donate $1 (= 1 tree planted!) for every student who completes our Sake or Shochu Adviser programs. We believe in taking action to protect the environment and ensure a better future for our children and their families.

By enrolling in our Adviser courses, not only will you learn about the rich and unique culture of Sake and Shochu, but you’ll also be contributing to a worthwhile cause. Trees donated by Sake School of America will be planted in areas that have been affected by deforestation or have a low tree cover, helping to restore natural habitats and combat climate change.

We invite you to be a part of this meaningful initiative and make a positive impact on the planet. Enroll in our Adviser courses today and join us in creating a sustainable future for generations to come!

Sake School of America will make our donations 3 times a year: April, August, and December.

If you would like to support this cause, feel free to make your own donation at:

Why One Tree Planted?

We want to do good, but we don’t want to do it blindly. We were looking for a non-profit organization that had clear and focused goals, qualified and competent management, transparency, and education. One Tree Planted cleared all of our requirements.

Clear Vision: OTP makes it easy to donate and gives you the choice as to where you want your money spent as well. From regions to impacts, you can choose what cause you would like to donate to. No matter what you choose, you will be provided with information on how your donation would contribute to the region/impact and their overarching goal for the projects.

Management: Their Board of Directors and Team are clearly listed on the website and show how their teams and projects are broken up. They are all passionate, well-educated people ready to help the planet! OTP began in 2014 and has only been growing significantly each year. They have more than doubled the number of trees planted each year.

Transparency: OTP’s financial reports are available for review as well as the yearly impact recap. We also appreciate that the Board of Directors and key team members have their email addresses available on the website. Their FAQ section does a great job of answering basic but important questions about how OTP works. You can also stay updated through their social media, youtube, newsletter, and more.

Education: OTP has a section on its website dedicated to education about trees, forestation, climate change, and more. They also offer a variety of blog posts, videos, social media posts, etc. that have fun activities, facts, or ways to engage and help out. It’s important to not just donate and forget but to learn and understand WHY taking care of our environment is so important and the bigger impacts it can have. If we stay involved, engaged, and knowledgeable, we can start making more conscious choices as well as influence others to be more conscious.

Don’t take our word for it, do your own research and educate yourself over at One Tree Planted.
